Sugar Substitutes for Weight Loss & Healthy, Delicious Food

Dates

Dates are one of the best substitutes for sugar, especially when it comes to desserts. Even without having anything done to them, they are delicious. They are also great when combined with chocolate, coconut, nuts, whole wheat biscuits, you name it! And they are full of goodness, from iron, fibre, calcium, magnesium, potassium, and so much more which help deal with a boatload of health issues, including weight loss!

Bananas

Bananas are another tasty fruit that provides plenty of natural sweetness, without the harmful effects of white sugar. They have so many good properties and help with a host of health issues, including obesity. Slice up some bananas to put on your toast, blend em’ up to make delicious smoothies, or mash them into your muffin batter to replace sugar and flour (making them sugar and gluten-free; score!).

Word of Caution

Be careful! Even though the ingredients we saw previously are all much better than sugar when it comes to helping in weight loss while also providing health benefits, eating them in excess is not the answer. Dousing your stack of sugary pancakes with half a bottle of maple syrup might actually end up being detrimental. Remember that anything is only beneficial when taken in moderation. And also always buy all-natural, organic ingredients whenever possible.
